I love speaking about writing and sharing insights about: revision, publishing, the query process, how to get an agent, the submission process, how to overcome rejection, and what it's like to edit a young adult series with an editor at a traditional publisher. I can also discuss craft, including: developing a compelling hook, character, plot, dialogue, world-building, etc.
I enjoy sharing the 'behind-the-scenes' of author life, and the highs and lows of an industry that can be hard to break into. I love connecting with readers and writers, and inspiring people to pursue their dreams.

school visits
I have spoken at middle schools and high schools, and spent a year as a writer-in-residence, where I worked directly with creative writing students, mentoring them through the narrative process.
